Jeffrey Otto began his career working for local newspapers while in high school growing up in Western New York. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in professional photographic illustration and followed his dream south. Working his way across the Carolinas he trained his lens on sleepy little southern towns like Florence, SC; Rock Hill, SC; and Wilmington, NC capturing life for daily newspapers, wire agencies, and commercial clients. He has covered SEC and ACC sports as well MLB, NHL, NBA, and NFL including four second place finish for the Buffalo Bills and the first five seasons of the Carolina Panthers
In 2007 Jeff relocated to Nashville to oversee photography operations and a staff of 10 traveling photographers and support staff at Journal Communications, Inc., which produced 130 different magazines and travel guides annually.
These days Jeff enjoys shooting food, architectural, and location portraits as well as independent documentary work.
