Tracy Ratliff AA, BGA

Tracy earned an associates degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and after spending many years working in the field she continued her education at Nossi College of Art graduating Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts. While at Nossi she earned both Silver ADDY and Adobe Achievement semi-finalist awards.  She is also a member of the ABK National Honor Society.

Tracy has been a professional graphic designer and illustrator for 20+ years. Her work includes logo design, branding, illustration, print collateral, photography and silk-screen poster design and printing. Her poster for the Nashville Shakespeare Festival’s 2008 production of Hamlet was featured in the book Presenting Shakespeare: 1,100 Posters from around the World (which also featured work from design greats such as Milton Glaser, Paula Scher and Paul Davis).

Tracy is also an accomplished concert poster designer with work recognized around the world for John Prine, The Decemberists, Dwight Yoakam, Death Cab For Cutie and many others. She is also a member of and frequent exhibitor in national exhibitions with the American Poster Institute and is a recipient of the Tennessee Arts Commission’s Professional Development grant in 2007 for poster design.

As a freelance artist, she works for a wide range of clients in various industries and businesses. She also teaches art and technology-related subjects to a wide range of age groups. She maintains an enthusiastic interest in photography and film and is intensely dedicated to developing both her creative territory and continuing education.
