Jeff McMillan is a Commercial Photographer, originally from Ohio. He earned a BFA in Visual Communication, with a Specialization in Photo Illustration from Ohio University.
Starting out, Jeff was hired as a Photo Assistant on his first interview by a large Commercial Photo Studio in Cleveland, OH. Jeff assisted the owner of the studio, who was a Fashion Photographer, as well as, two other Photographers who ran their businesses out of the same studio. One specialized in Architecture Photography, the other specialized in Product and Automobile Photography. Jeff quickly learned the ins and outs of all these specializations, and still enjoys the diverse techniques that each one requires.
Jeff built a very successful business in Ohio that included his very first client, who worked with him for the next thirteen years. It was then, when Jeff relocated his studio to Northern California, where he continued to attract major accounts like The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Calphalon Cookware, Baker Eze, Matco Tools, Apple, Yahoo, Leap Frog, Bayer, Jelly Belly, Xerox, and many others. Jeff has worked with major brands, professional and olympic athletes, and celebrities.
While studying at Ohio University, one of Jeff’s professors told him that the photos Jeff took for an assignment…”are probably the worst photos he had ever seen.” Jeff asked the Professor…”Why?” Jeff went on to win two National Awards for Photography.
Recently, Jeff relocated to Nashville for the next chapter of his adventure, which involves expanding his knowledge and expertise, giving back, and helping others set a winning mindset, and achieve their goals.
Jeff also enjoys working with video, video editing, and more recently guitar, songwriting and recording. He is also certified in Peak Performance Coaching, and coaches hockey in the Nashville Predators Youth Hockey Organization.
