Jason Gavin BA, MA, MLS

Learning Resource Center Manager

Jason Gavin received a BA in History and Philosophy from the University of Southern Mississippi, an MA in Philosophy from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, and an MLS from Indiana University.   Before moving to Tennessee, he’s lived everywhere from Japan to California; New Orleans to the Arizona desert.  He teaches philosophy and world religions at Columbia State Community College, and has worked as a Rare Books Librarian, Operations Administrator, Preservation Technician, Education manager for a museum, and English teacher to name a few.  He currently lives with his wife and daughter on a forested five-acre homestead, and in his spare time can almost certainly be found outside, probably talking or writing about rewilding, and very likely petting a dog.
