Nossi College of Art is looking for an experienced photographer/videographer, with the emphasis on Video and Film, to oversee our photo/video department.
Must haves: a bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years experience.
This is a full time position with salary and benefits based on experience and education. Duties include teaching five (5) courses each semester, advising students, keeping regular office hours, guiding and supervising instructors and leading the department with curriculum development. Additional duties include helping the Admissions Department explain the photography degrees to potential new students.
The Coordinator must show enthusiasm and a passion for the photography department. The Coordinator is expected to network and form relationships with professional videographers and photographers in the greater Nashville community. It is hoped that these professionals may be “tapped” to be guest speakers in classes, to provide internships, to serve on Advisory Boards, to attend Portfolio Reviews and be a “source” for our students and the College. The Coordinator must be willing, if invited, to speak at area high schools and civic organizations (Kiwanis, Rotary, Lions, etc.) about the employment opportunities for professional photographers and videographers and about the degrees offered at Nossi College of Art.
This position reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
