NASHVILLE – PodCamp Nashville is back and boasting more artistic flair in 2014. The seventh edition of the Mid-South’s premier digital media “unconference” will be held on May 17 at Nossi College of Art, organizers announced today. First held in 2008, PodCamp is a forum for the best and brightest digital content creators, marketers, educators and podcasters to gather, network and share the latest trends and technologies in the interactive space.

“Podcamp is about content, community and creativity. It’s a place for sharing ideas and helping others in the digital media space learn and grow,” said Carla Swank, PodCamp Nashville crew advisor. “We encourage interaction and collaboration in hopes of sparking those flashes of inspiration that can take a person to a new creative level.”

PodCamps are unique day-long, free events held across the country in which all themes and topics of discussion are generated by those in attendance. This will be the first time PodCamp Nashville will visit Nossi College of Art, a private, professional college that focuses on pushing the boundaries of visual communication. The 40-year-old school moved into its new 55,000-square foot facility located just off of Ellington Parkway in September 2010.

“Nossi College of Art is thrilled to host this year’s PodCamp Nashville. This is a great relationship for us as our focus and curriculum surround the latest interactive and digital trends in Nashville’s creative industries,” said Cyrus Vatandoost, Nossi’s Executive Vice President. “Because Nossi was built with the creative artist in mind, we can offer space for large networking opportunities or intimate collaboration among individuals.”
