It’s October, and you know what that means. Halloween is coming and Nossi is preparing. The 2019 Nossi Haunted House is in the works.

Currently, there are 26 students in addition to faculty and staff members involved in the planning and preparation, with special help from Kappa Pi – Nossi’s student academic and leadership group. In the past, there have been rooms set up like a Slaughter House, Clown Room, and a Haunted Forest. This year, the rooms will feature a Carnival, Stranger Things, Graveyard and Haunted Art Show.

Nossi and Kappa Pi Eta Tau sponsor this annual event for the local community which is free and open to students, their friends and Nossi community. In addition to the Haunted House, there will also be a candy bar, photo booth and raffle prize drawings through the night. The festivities will be held on Friday evening, November 1 starting at 6 PM. Costumes are highly encouraged.

Students can get involved by joining the planning group, they meet weekly on Mondays through October from 5-6 p.m.

To have a successful event, we are looking for actors in each room to create a convincing atmosphere as well as students to act as tour guides through the house. The final set up will occur on the day of the event and will begin at 10 am. Nossi provides food throughout the day to keep the volunteers nourished and energetic.

A couple of days after the Halloween event, all planning participants are invited to a special celebration dinner.
