Q: What is your goal after graduating form Nossi College of Art & Design? A: I would like to be an art teacher in multiple school systems. I want to encourage more black and brown children that their creative aspirations can be just as successful as the others. Likewise, I have noticed the lack of diversity in Art Education, and I want to be the change I know the world so desperately needs.
Q: Looking back, what is one piece of advice you would give yourself on your first day of art college? A: To be more confident in expressing my voice. While most know me to be outspoken, direct, and honest, it's not a skill that I naturally embraced. My experiences at Nossi forced me to stand confidently and advocate for myself because no one is going to support me like I support myself, and I've gotten better and better at that once I started to embrace myself fully!
