Illustration Guest Speaker on Campus

Mary Uhles will be speaking to our illustration students in Book Publishing I class. This is an open invite to all illustration students. Mary is also on the Illustration Advisory Board at Nossi College of Art.

When people ask Mary what she does, she usually replies with some variation of “graphic-artist-illustrator.” Sometimes she just says illustrator (which gets the blank-what-is-that? look),  sometimes she just says children’s book illustrator (which gets the “oh i’ve written a book we should get together” response),  and sometimes she just says graphic artist (which, let’s face it, is a lot easier for loan officers, insurance managers and IRS officials to handle.) At any rate, that’s what I do.
