Wendy Jo has been a photographer since the age of 14. After a career as a teacher she made a change and worked as a Camera Assistant in the motion picture industry for 5 plus years. Returning to her first love of still photography, she went back to school to get her degree. Since then she has worked mostly on commercial shoots, everything from the Grand Ole Opry and Country Weekly to fashion shoots for W magazine. After a year of editorial travel photography, she made the decision to stay in one place for a while, and combine her love for animals with her love of photography. She received her Certified Professional Photographer designation in 2018. A Nashville native, she’s been photographing pets and working with animal rescues for the past 8 years.
