Mt. Juliet native Andrea Duncan fell in love with the restaurant industry at a young age. Her mom owned a catering company for several years, and Andrea would help by cutting cakes and refilling drinks. Years later she found herself enrolled at the Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville to start her culinary education and continue her passion for serving others. While in culinary school, Andrea worked at several establishments such as the Nashville Symphony and Old Hickory Steakhouse inside the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. She graduated from the Art Institute with her Associates in Baking and Pastry and her Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts Management.
For three years, Andrea was a Restaurant Manager at Ole Red Nashville on Broadway and was promoted within Ryman Hospitality Properties to Senior Food and Beverage Manager at the Grand Ole Opry House. She has been tasked with updating the food and beverage program at Opry as well as building an in-house catering team.
