Mt. Juliet native Andrea Duncan fell in love with the restaurant industry at a young age. Her mom owned a catering company for several years, and Andrea would help by cutting cakes and refilling drinks. Years later she found herself enrolled at the Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville to start her culinary education and continue her passion for serving others. While in culinary school, Andrea worked at several establishments such as the Nashville Symphony and Old Hickory Steakhouse inside the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. She graduated from the Art Institute with her Associates in Baking and Pastry and her Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts Management.
After graduation, Andrea returned to the Art Institute as an instructor where she coached students and prepared them for future jobs in the industry. While teaching at the Art Institute, Andrea obtained her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University. For the last three years, Andrea has been a restaurant manager at Ole Red Nashville on Broadway and loves the fast-paced, high-volume environment downtown has to offer.
