This course will present an introduction to methods and procedures of quantitative and qualitative research. Techniques to determine which research procedures are most effective for specific research topics will be explored. There will be an emphasis on acquiring skills to analyze and critique scholarly literature.

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate research. This course will also teach graduate students how to develop fundamental research plans. Students are encouraged to use this course to begin thinking about their thesis research.
