Kappa Pi is a student-empowering organization that provides students with opportunities to create relationships, build character and foster career development within a collaborative, social environment. Nicole Drake founded Nossi’s Eta Tau Chapter last year and has since worked diligently to bond conscientious artists together, effectively forming an organization that is influential both on campus and in the community. Coming from a long line of artists, painters and craftsmen, Jacob Rhoades has always viewed creative expression as one of life’s necessities. Jacob is a graphic designer and illustrator who has migrated from Music City USA to Los Angeles, where he currently works full time for LonelyPlanet, the world’s largest travel guide book publisher. Crystal Nunley was one of those bright, high-achieving students who was always looking to get involved in college. Because Crystal has never stopped seeking out opportunities to be successful and to develop her talents her accomplishments have extended beyond Nossi’s classrooms and into her professional career. Crystal graduated from Nossi in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. Amanda Purcell Gives Back

In September, Nossi alumni were offered a unique opportunity to give back to the Nossi community. Graduates were invited to design the school’s new t-shirt to be sold in the campus store. Participants in this contest were challenged to work with strict color and design limitations when creating their submissions. After the passing of the early October deadline, Nossi faculty and staff members sifted through many impressive, varied designs and carefully cast their vote for the t-shirt they felt stayed true to Nossi’s brand. It is the end of the workday, and I am heading to Aladdin’s on Elliston to meet with Michael Inman, a Nossi College of Art graduate and a connoisseur of the beverage industry in Nashville. While at Nossi, Michael landed a graphic design internship at Lipman Brothers, a local wine and liquor distributor. This experience combined with his two degrees from Nossi helped Michael become a perfect fit for the graphic design position at Horizon Wine and Spirits.
