INTERACTIVE DESIGN I
Interactive Design I introduces students to the foundational principles and technical skills of designing for the web. Through hands-on engagement with HTML and CSS, students learn to translate visual design concepts into functional, browser-based experiences — developing fluency in web page structure, layout systems, typography on screen, and the creation and optimization of web graphics. Industry-standard tools and workflows are introduced alongside core design thinking practices, ensuring that technical execution is always grounded in concept and intention. By the end of the course, students will be able to design and build original web experiences from the ground up, establishing the foundation for more advanced interactive design and front-end development work in subsequent courses.
This course is offered on ground with an online component.
