In Basic Drawing 101, students explored surface textures and lighting conditions by sketching a classic still life… with a twist. This time, the subject was a skeleton, perfect for practicing form, tone, and reflected light. 😉

🔪🔥 Culinary Club: Chopped Edition!
Once a month, Nossi Culinary turns up the heat, and last Friday’s challenge did not disappoint. Led by Chef Zac, this hands-on challenge was all about creativity, technique, and a little friendly competition.
🏆 Winners were Veronica Robertson for perfectly butchering a chicken, and to Anna Palmer for serving up the best Korean corndogs!

Nossi visits Picasso at Monthaven 🎨🖌️
Maureen O’Brien and Mark Fleming brought their students to @monthavenarts to experience The Unknown Picasso: Selections from the Marina Picasso Estate Collection, running through 11/9.
From rare lithographs to never-before-seen works, students had the chance to see the legendary artist’s career up close. Experiences like this connect classroom learning to the wider art world and inspire the next generation of creators.

Nossi`s Dr. Mark Mabry and Tracy Ratliff recently connected with Jeffrey Ball, Digital Arts & Design teacher at Hendersonville High School.
Together, they’ll serve on Hendersonville’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Council, working to build stronger partnerships between NCAD and HHS to better prepare students for college, careers, and the evolving creative workforce.
