Chef Adam Alderman is a U.S. Army veteran, personal chef, and owner of Mantra Classic Cafe in La Vergne, Tennessee. A classically trained culinarian who studied at The Art Institute of Tennessee–Nashville, Adam built his reputation creating customized menus for private dinners, weddings, and special events across Middle Tennessee. His approach is simple and guest-first: start with solid technique, source thoughtfully, and craft flavors that feel welcoming and memorable.

At Nossi College of Art & Design, Chef Alderman teaches Fundamentals of Culinary Techniques, blending real-world kitchen standards with approachable, step-by-step instruction. Students can expect a strong emphasis on knife skills, flavor building, mise en place, and professional kitchen habits—the same principles he brings to his clients and crews. When he’s not in the classroom, he’s developing tailored menus for Mantra Classic Cafe clients and mentoring aspiring culinarians as they turn passion into practice.
