See Days 26 – 30 below!  In the fall of 2018, Nossi College of Art is celebrating our 45th anniversary, and we decided to do 45 acts of creative kindness for local classrooms, non-profits, church groups. Nashville and the surrounding communities have been supportive of Nossi College and the impact we wanted to make on this area, so in return, we wanted to feature 45 acts of thankfulness. We are so excited to share the fun we had shopping, donating, creating and celebrating within the wonderful community that has supported us during our 45-year creative journey. Day 26: The Art Express Nossi Student, Tifini Gabriele,  is partnering with Jessi, the owner of The Art Express to finalize an art curriculum that teaches students through the use of music, games and hands-on projects and also has created graphic design promotional materials. Their work together is essential to Jessi’s mission to reach more students around Middle Tennessee.   ‘Art is so Fun’ is designed to engage children ages 3-6 years old. Unique lesson plans take art elements from famous painters and paintings and implement games, geography, music and math to create an environment where young children not only enjoy learning about art, they remember the lessons from week to week. We are so excited to share the fun we had shopping, donating, creating and celebrating within the wonderful community that has supported us during our 45-year creative journey.   Day 21: AtoZ Exchange Day 21’s feature is very close to us because it is an example of the great talent our campus fosters. AtoZ Exchange is a weekly, collaborative, conversational podcast where creative, cultural and political topics are discussed. Video & Film Grads, Zakk Beaty and Amanda York are the creators of AtoZ and record their podcasts right here on Nossi’s campus!   To show our support, we are helping these Nashville filmmakers by sponsoring their startup costs and continuing to provide a workspace to broadcast their interesting, eclectic topics. Welcome back to Week 4 of our 45 Days of Giving! We are so excited to share the fun we had shopping, donating, creating and celebrating within the wonderful community that has supported us during our 45-year creative journey.   Day 16: Bahía de Caráquez, Nossi Study Abroad For Nossi’s 1st ever study abroad trip, our very own Photo Instructor, Sheri Oneal, took 12 students on location to Ecuador to photograph and experience their unique culture. The most impactful day for the students was their visit to the school, Bahía de Caráquez Sri Sathya Sai Baba – Because of the impact on our students, Nossi made a check to this school to help with various funding needs. We are so excited to share the fun we had shopping, donating, creating and celebrating within the wonderful community that has supported us during our 45-year creative journey.   Day 11: Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee (DSAMT) In recognition of October being Down Syndrome Awareness Month, we are so happy to highlight the local nonprofit, Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee.    In July DSAMT hosted iCan Bike Camp that teaches children with Down Syndrome how to ride a bike in a safe and fun way. We decided to invest as a $500 Photography Sponsor to capture this empowering learning environment, so Nossi student Ben Neely spent the day documenting and here are some of our favorite shots.
