Meet the Artist: Alumni Spotlight: Amy Carpenter

After successfully finishing at Nossi, we are confident our students are equipped to succeed in the real world. Some, like Amy Carpenter, even have the chance to step onto high-profile sets like “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

Amy took the experiences she had and the skills she learned at Nossi and opened her own photography studio, Refuge Studios. One of the biggest highlights of her career so far was the opportunity to be on set for a day during the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” shoot in Nashville. She cataloged the family that day, as well as when they attended the first Titans game of the season for LP Building Products.

From the business class that helped her learn how to manage her future studio to the basic classes in the darkroom, Amy took full advantage our wide variety of class offerings. It’s this variety that Amy wants current and future students to take advantage of while at Nossi.

“You have the opportunity to try out several different genres of photography and learn how to be very versatile as a photographer,” says Amy.
