iostudio Brings ‘Real Artists. Real Work.’ to Nossi College of Art Classroom

By: Alicia Sellitti of IO Studio

As an art school with unique degree programs in photography, illustration, graphic design and Video and Film, Nossi College of Art is a perfect partner for a creative agency like iostudio. While the agency has recruited new iostudians from Nossi’s creative student population in the past, this week, iostudians returned the favor by serving as guest professors in Nossi classrooms.

On Wednesday, January 30, ioFilm attended Professor Greg Giblin’s Video and Film class to teach students about best practices for lighting and filming on a green screen. While the visit was a special occasion for iostudio, it was business as usual for Nossi College of Art, who prides themselves on providing their students with instruction from working professionals in the field.

Students observed the ioFilm crew as they set up lighting and captured footage for an iostudio special project in one of Nossi’s on-campus studios. The studio, with green screens fully covering two walls and an adaptable light grid in the ceiling, provides a professional working environment for Nossi students—and anyone in the community who would like to rent the space.
