Marcie Kindred is a Nashville-based commercial, landscape, and lifestyle photographer. She understands that capturing the perfect image is a unique balance of science, technology, and art. She is a two-time ADDY award winner and has 20 years of experience in the world of professional photography. Marcie began her career in wedding photography then expanded her work to include the commercial and corporate community. She has shot everything from dead bodies and crime scenes to newborns, yachts, and Fortune 500 companies. Her clients include Vanderbilt, Northrop Grumman, Tractor Supply, and local businesses in the middle Tennessee area.
Marcie also has a passion for power tools and woodworking and is a perfect fit to teach Nossi’s Do It Yourself (DIY) Photography class where students are introduced to a new kind of “making,” which empowers them to create their own lights, studio backdrops, and tabletops. In her personal work, Marcie is currently working on a fine art portfolio. Her latest body of work pushes the boundaries of traditional landscape photography and introduces a fractured picture plane combining more than 30 images stitched, stacked, and layered to make one complete photograph and displays asymmetry of both brokenness and beauty. When not behind the camera Marcie enjoys spending time adventuring in the great outdoors with her husband, Mike, her three kids, and her dog, Clover.
