Creative Talents Abound for Nossi Student Starr Belle

In the evening of May 31, Starr Belle was getting ready for her CD Release debut at BB Kings in downtown Nashville. Starr is a creative at heart. She is a singer and songwriter, but she is also a talented photographer enrolled in Nossi College of Art’s Bachelor program. When she isn’t out capturing images for class or her portfolio, she is actively working on her singing career.

When it came time for her show, Starr knew she needed help getting the word out and capturing the event, so she turned to the people she knew best – students at Nossi. Travis Fleener, a graphic design student, created her CD Release Poster while a fellow photography student, Samantha Hoxit, captured the event at BB Kings.

“It was an honor to work with several Nossi students to help this event come together, said Starr. “Travis Fleener [designer] and Samantha Hoxit [photographer] are skilled on so many levels. The photos captured the event beautifully and the posters were a great promotional tool to help get the word out!”

This was Starr’s debut country album titled “Refused to be Defused.” She is able to pick up the tempo with many of her songs as well as slide easily into a soulful blues ballad.

“It was an exciting evening and everyone helped create an energy that made the night even more special!” said Regina Carter Boy, artist management. “My heart smiles as I look at the pictures of so many that came to support Starr and celebrate this milestone in her career.”

Starr could not have said it better herself, “I am so thankful to have my Nossi family in full support of me and my music.”
