Alumni Cookout!

At Nossi College of Art, we are constantly looking for ways to support our graduates and strengthen our alumni network. A perfect example is the Alumni Cookout – which took place June 17 on campus.

With our in-demand programs, 40+ years of growth and foresight into Nashville’s creative and tech industries, Nossi continues to see success. Nossi graduates represent this success and are showcased on the #NossiAlumni blog and through Alumni Cookouts as a way to show our appreciation.

During this past Alumni cookout, Jill Vickers – a representative from the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation – came by to discuss and council grads about managing finances and their student loans.

In addition, two graduates displayed work in the Ira Gallery. The creative gradient each alumni, Mickey Masters and Marc Colver, showcased a range of creative talent that exists in Nashville. Troy Duff, another graduate, demonstrated his graffiti skills, and Don Jobe printed T-shirts featuring our NEW ALUMNI LOGOG, created by yet another Nossi graduate, Tyler Earles.

Throughout the event, several businesses donated giveaways including a 12th&Broad Membership and tickets, Griffin Technology Swag, NAMA Luncheon Vouchers, Nossi Swag and Plaza Gift Cards.

Dax Gomez, Career Services Director, said, “These events are a great way to catch up with graduates. It’s also very useful for alumni to network with each other, help each other with opportunities and see each other’s successes.” Stay tuned for the next Alumni Event by following our @JobNewsFlash or the Alumni Page on Facebook.

Feedback from the event (connect with Alumni on LinkedIN!):

Jeremy Suter:

Had a great time, great food, got to catch up with some old buddies.

Abram Buck:

Bringing in Jill Vickers was a good call. She gave us some pretty valuable insight into planning for the future and saving.
