Financial Aid & Scholarships
Financial Aid
The economic realities of the 21st century include the fact that, no matter which college or university you attend, it is going to be expensive. Nossi College of Art prides itself on being able to keep tuition and college expenses down to a minimum level. One of the outstanding economic things that Nossi College of Art does is guarantee its tuition. What this means is that, once a student is enrolled in a program at Nossi College of Art, that student’s tuition will not increase from the beginning of his program right through to graduation.
But still, most students need some financial aid assistance with their college career. Nossi College of Art is approved to offer several programs through which students may apply for financial aid. These programs include Federal Pell Grants, Direct Loan Programs, Social Security and United States Department of Veteran’s Affairs programs, Tennessee Student Assistance Awards and Federal Direct (Parents) Plus Loans. The college maintains a financial aid office to assist students in applying for aid for which they may qualify. Complete details about qualifications may be obtained through that office. In addition, Nossi College of Art offers several art and photography scholarships.
To apply for federal and state aid you must complete the FAFSA Application. You may apply online using FAFSA on the Web at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ . If you do not have Internet access or have questions, you may call our financial aid department at 800-566-6811.
The financial aid department is pleased to announce the arrival of the Direct Loan Program beginning with the Fall 2010 semester. Through the Direct Loan Program, students and parents will borrow their Federal Stafford and PLUS loans directly from the federal government and will no longer be borrowing their loan funds through private lenders.
You will need to sign a new Master Promissory Note (MPN) and do a new entrance interview for any Stafford or PLUS loan you expect to borrow for the coming 2010-2011 award year. This will be done at www.studentloans.gov.
